Microblading is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo that involves implanting small amounts of pigment in the skin that mimic hair-like strokes. The process involves a hand-held microblade tool with needles on the tip. The process goes by different names such as eyebrow embroidery, micro-stroking, feather touch, 3D brows, 6D brows. It is a form of partially camouflaging missing eyebrow hair with the appearance of simulated hair stroke tattoo. We only use the highest quality of cruelty-free/vegan pigments as well as disposable sterile needles. Results last anywhere from 1-2 years depending on skin type and lifestyle.

Ombré Shading

Otherwise known as “shading” or “powder brow” is a semi-permanent cosmetic procedure that deposits pigment into the upper layer of the skin. The process is similar to Microblading except that instead of drawing on individual hair strokes, we use a manual hand tool and specialized “powder effect” and results resemble makeup application or a fresh eyebrow tint and can last up to 2 years. This advanced procedure is used to create a solid, bolder, more defined brow look. The pigment is lighter at the start of the brow then gradually gets darker towards the tail, hence the name "Ombré Brow". Every skin type is suitable for this procedure and is recommended for individuals with oily skin.

Pre + Post Care

• Do not work out 24 hours before the procedure.
• No alcohol or caffeinated beverage 24 hours before the procedure.
• Avoid sun tanning prior to the procedure. No sunburns!
• Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E or Ibuprofen 24 hours before the procedure. If you are on blood thinners, please consult your physician prior to your appointment and ensure it is ok to be off of your medication before your appointment to avoid excessive bleeding. If you have any autoimmune disorders, please consult your physician prior to booking!
• No brow waxing, tinting, threading microdermabrasion or chemical peels one week before.
• No Botox prior to treatment. If you Botox before microblading, your brow will be created based on your Botoxed features and once the Botox wears off the brow placement may be off from where you want it. Please email me to let me know if you have had Botox and how long before.
• Discontinue Retin-A 4 Weeks Prior.
• Do not use AHA skin care products close to the eyebrow area 2 weeks prior to and 2 weeks after your procedure.
• Do not have chemical peels, dermabrasions, mesotherapy, botox, or any other intense treatments 3-4 weeks before the microblading procedure. This will cause faster skin cell rejuvenation and skin irritation and will, therefore, affect healing and the final outcome.
• Wash your hair before the procedure, and arrive with clean skin (no heavy makeup on the eyelids). Eyebrow makeup is ok if you are wanting the artist to see your shape preference, colour, etc.

The healing process typically takes between 7-14 days.  During this time, it is important to remember to let your brows dry naturally and not to wet the brows for at least a week.

• Do not touch brows or surrounding area for 24 hours.
• Avoid sun exposure or tanning beds for up to 4 weeks. After the area is healed completely, use sunblock (SPF 30-50) to prevent the colour from fading.
• Avoid applying makeup, powder, eyebrow pencil and any creams with active ingredients for at least 10 days after.
• No chemical peels, mesotherapy, dermabrasion, botox, or any other treatments for 3 to 4 weeks following your appointment.
